Day 1 – Group arrival day the DreamMore Resort. This beautiful wooden white-walled building is capped by a green roof that complements the mountains. The landscape is reminiscent of the sprawling mineral resort hotels of the 19th Century; yet it is filled with all modern amenities you expect of a Four-Star Hotel.
It has a Grand Rocking Chair Porch, free shuttles to Dollywood, The Spa at DreamMore, The Song & Hearth Restaurant plus bar and lounge, two beautiful indoor outdoor pools with Lazy River and Splash Pad, a Fitness Room, outdoor fire pits and exclusive resort entertainment. Plus, DreamMore features some of the nicest rooms you will find in all the Smokies (300 in all).
This resort is inspired by Dolly Parton’s warm childhood memories, of growing up with family visiting on the front porch. Her home was here in Tennessee in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains. Her new Resort Hotel is filled with those rich memories and traditions of storytelling, mountain music and southern cooking – it is the spirit of the South in a fresh new way.
Dinner this evening is a four course feast at the Dixie Stampede. The holiday festivities get playful as Elves from the North Pole and South Pole will compete in a friendly rivalry while serving up a festive your dinner.
Snow falls softly as the breathtaking scenes fill you with tidings of good cheer. The Dixie Stampede arena is magically transformed into a true fantasy land complete with twinkling lights, evergreens, poinsettias, old-fashioned holiday costumes and familiar holiday music.
You will also love the live nativity; it is both dramatic and spectacular. The true meaning of Christmas comes alive right before your very eyes as three kings ride atop camels on their way to Bethlehem. The stunning beauty of angels ascending from above will amaze you as the songs inspire audience members of all ages.
Day 2 – Your morning and lunch hour are spent shopping for Holiday Gifts. We are happy to schedule your group at “The Incredible Christmas Place” or any number of other local shopping centers. You might also want to think about visiting an attraction or two such as the Titanic, or spending your morning in Gatlinburg where you can visit either Old Smoky Moonshine or Christus Gardens.
Your afternoon’s feature however is the eight-time award winner of America’s Best Christmas Event, “Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival.” Arriving at 2:00pm you’ll find this park features four million holiday lights more than 20 rides and attractions with elaborate Christmas decorations, twinkling lights and holiday-themed menus. As a DreamMore Guest, you will receive “front of the line privileges” at many of the rides, shows.
Once in the Park, there are also two spectacular holiday performances you won’t want to miss the first is “Christmas in the Smokies” a 12-member cast performing hometown holiday favorites that celebrate the joy of the season.
Today’s highlight show will be Dolly’s “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Dollywood brings a Christmas classic to life. Based on the timeless holiday story of love and generosity, audiences will love the newest addition to Dollywood’s Christmas season.
Following Dinner in the Park we can schedule an 8:00pm show, or your group can simply stay until closing at 9:00pm. Your travelers can ride DreamMore’s free shuttle to and from a private entrance for hotel guests only – they can come and go as they please without using your bus.
Day 3 – Before this morning’s departure your group enjoys their second of DreamMore’s gourmet breakfast buffet which includes buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy, bacon, eggs, and a pancake buffet. It is not an ordinary hotel breakfast. There are no powdered eggs or canned gravy! The buffet items are prepared fresh daily by a chef along with his baker and an entire culinary team.
