Day 1 – Lancaster, PA – Amish Family Style Dinner
Today, you arrive in Lancaster, PA. Check into your hotel for a two night stay. This evening, you enjoy an Amish Family Style meal. (D)
Day 2 – Lancaster, PA- Amish Countryside Tour – “Jesus” at Sight & Sound Theater
Today begins with an Amish Countryside Tour, you will see the farmlands, travel the county lanes with a guide who describes the simple life lived by the Amish.
Your tour is followed by free time for shopping and lunch on your own at Kitchen Kettle Village and the Village of Intercourse. The village is filled with a world famous canning kitchen, unique specialty shops, a rich history, delicious food, great views and fun for kids of all ages.
Then you will see Sight & Sound’s newest show, “Jesus” back by popular demand in 2019. Experience the greatest rescue story of all time! Jesus is the action-packed musical stage adventure that takes you on a miraculous journey alongside the most famous person to ever walk the earth, and the everyday people whose lives he changed forever.
While Jesus’ story may be familiar, his actions are unexpected. He befriends outcasts and heals the hurting. He challenges social norms and confronts hypocrisy. He sets sail with fishermen and reasons with religious scholars. And the lives he touches will never be the same. From the streets of Jerusalem to the raging Sea of Galilee, there’s no place—and no person—that his love can’t reach.
Following the show, is another family style dinner is included this evening at the Hershey Farm Restaurant. (B,D)
Day 3 – Cincinnati, OH – Travel Day
After breakfast this morning, you depart Lancaster for the Cincinnati Area. On arrival, you check into your local hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is on your own this evening. (B)
Day 4 – Cincinnati – The Ark Encounter – B & B Riverboat Dinner Cruise
Today, you visit the Ark Encounter offering an experience like no other. From the moment you turn the corner and the towering Ark comes into view, to the friendly animals in the petting zoo, to the jaw-dropping exhibits inside the Ark, you’ll experience the pages of the Bible like never before. This marvel of engineering is seven stories tall and is a football field and a half long. It is the largest timber frame structure in the world. Get ready to experience close-up encounters with stunning animals; some life-like recreations from Noah’s day and many living and breathing animals from today.
Learn what Noah’s life was like prior to the Flood, what he looked like, and what he did for a living before building the Ark? Find out how Noah and his family might have lived on the Ark, from cooking food to sleeping, recreation, and even gardening! And, don’t miss the Rainbow Covenant exhibit featuring an artistic depiction of the covenant God made to never again flood the whole earth again.
This evening, you stop in Cincinnati and enjoy a two and half hour dinner cruise aboard one of the B. B. Riverboats – the Belle of Cincinnati or River Queen. Take in the skyline, watch the river go by listen to the soft sounds of the DJ and enjoy a fantastic meal. After your cruise, you return to your hotel in Sharonville. (B,D)
Day 5 – Depart for Home
After breakfast, you load the bus, two by two and depart for home. (B)
