Weekend prices are higher.
Day 1 – Arrive in Lancaster, PA and check into your hotel for a three night stay. Dinner is on own this evening.
Day 2 – Today begins with an Amish Countryside Tour, you will see the farmlands, travel the county lanes with a guide who describes the simple life lived by the Amish.
Then you will see a Matinee Showing of “Jonah” at the Sight & Sound Theatre. Jonah is a prophet – and a man on the run. From who? From God! After a series of wild adventures involving a seaport called Joppa, a huge boat and a terrible storm, Jonah finds himself in the belly of a giant fish! But this isn’t the end. It’s here that God teaches Jonah how to receive grace and extend mercy, even to his archenemy: Nineveh. Take your family deep into this Bible classic as it springs to life on stage in jaw-dropping scale by a world-class cast, spectacular special effects and live animals – on stage and in the aisles. This is not your average fish tale!
Dinner after the show is a Family Style Amish Feast. Your group will be able to sit back over a large dinner and enjoy conversation about this incredible stage show they’ve just witnessed.
Day 3 – This morning steam into history with a ride on the Northern Central Railway located in New Freedom, PA. The train is a faithful replica of the Civil War steam locomotive that carried Abraham Lincoln to deliver his now famous Gettysburg Address. These same tracks carried Lincoln’s funeral train two years later. Ride the rails and relive Civil War and railroad history in York County.
Then you will head to Harrisburg, PA for a sightseeing cruise on the Pride of the Susquehanna Riverboat. You will learn the history of the area as you enjoy the beautiful Harrisburg Skyline and the majestic Susquehanna River!
Return to Lancaster this evening and enjoy dinner and a show at the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.
