Day 1 – Arrive in Cambridge, OH by 2:00 pm. Take a trip back in time and experience old world England as historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio, is charmingly transformed into a Dickens Victorian Village each holiday season. Meet your Christmas Past Character Guide for a driving tour of Dickens Victorian Village. It is filled with classic Dickens-era scenes consisting of life-like Victorian-era character mannequins wearing real vintage clothing. The faces for each character have been individually sculpted and painted by local artists. You co-exist with them as though you walked through a portal onto a charming street in Old London.

Next, see the Gingerbread House Display. Come see what the local gingerbread artisans have created for the Gingerbread House Contest, with categories including youth, adult, groups, professional and a special People’s Choice award.

Then check into your hotel for a two night stay.  Afterwards, enjoy dinner and a Candlelight Tour at the Colonel Taylor Inn, a beautiful Bed & Breakfast built in 1878.

Tonight enjoy the Holiday Music & Light Show on the Guernsey County Courthouse Lawn. The courthouse comes alive nightly with thousands of pulsating lights synchronized to holiday music. This magnificent 1881 building jumps into the 21st Century as it is bathed in colored lights, 36 animated light displays, and 15,000 lights outlining the building. The display is computer controlled with 364 electrical circuits meticulously synchronized to a holiday soundtrack, with a total of 30,000 lights.

Day 2 – This morning enjoy time for shopping and lunch on own in Historic Downtown Cambridge.  Then you head to Wheeling, WV where your afternoon and evening will be spent at the Oglebay Resort. On arrival, you tour the Mansion Museum, once home to Colonel Oglebay and family. Here you journey into the past entering a virtual treasure house of antiques and history that is dressed in all it holiday regalia.

Next, visit the Glass Museum with over 3,000 examples of WV Glass on display. See cut lead crystal and Victorian Art Glass, plus the Sweeney Punch Bowl, the largest piece of cut lead crystal ever made.

Then tour the Winter Fantasy at the Good Zoo. It includes a holiday music synchronized LED light show. You’ll also find an incredible Model Train Exhibit with special snow-covered scenes for the holidays.

A Buffet Dinner is included tonight at the Wilson Lodge.  Following dinner your group will enjoy a narrated tour of the Festival of Lights. A step-on guide will give you detailed information about the illuminated displays you’ll see scattered throughout the park as well as a brief history of Oglebay. Touring one of America’s largest Holiday Light Displays is a great way to end the day.

Return to you hotel in nearby Cambridge for the night.

Day 3 – After breakfast depart for home.
