Day 1 – Travel to the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Check into your oceanfront hotel for a four night stay. Dinner is included at the hotel tonight.

Day 2 – Travel to Roanoke Island for a day of touring.  Here Sir Walter Raleigh attempted to establish a settlement in 1585. You will see the Elizabeth II sailing ship and tour the Elizabethan Gardens, a living memorial to America’s First Colony. Then visit the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, and the Roanoke Island Festival Park followed by a Seafood dinner.

Tonight, enjoy a Behind the Scenes look at the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama (Available June-August). Following your backstage tour, enjoy the Lost Colony Show. Millions have seen the compelling story that celebrates the 117 English men, women, and children whose dream still lives on in this American original.

Day 3 – The day begins with a Cape Hatteras National Seashore Tour where you will see Bodie Island & the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.

Next, visit the Graveyard Atlantic Museum, listen to a guide discuss the unpredictable ocean currents and violent storms that have made these shore the final resting place for thousands of ships and seaman.

In the afternoon, tour Ocracoke Island where you will enjoy a picnic lunch. Get a glimpse of true seclusion amidst rare beauty. Miles of unspoiled beaches and natural beauty surround this coastal village.  Enjoy the uncrowded beaches and pristine dunes along the shoreline. Discover the many historical highlights, such as the world class shipwreck diving. Dinner this evening will be at a local restaurant.

Day 4 – This morning, enjoy a Dolphin Watching Cruise.  Observe diverse and fascinating wildlife.  See Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and learn about their feeding and social behavior.

Enjoy an afternoon visit to the Wright Brothers Memorial at Kitty Hawk.  You will not only learn about the Wright Brothers flight, but you will have a kite making class and an opportunity to discover a little about aeronautics all by yourself. End the day with farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5 – After breakfast, depart for home.
