Day 1 – Arrive in Philadelphia, PA and check into your hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is on your own this evening.

Day 2 – First stop this morning is the Independence Visitors Center and the film “Independence.” This 30-minute John Huston film highlights the history in Philadelphia from 1774 – 1800 during the fight for Independence.

Then the rest of the morning is dedicated to Philadelphia’s Independence Hall National Historic Park. You will learn about events that occurred in Philadelphia, America’s birthplace and framed American history.  Highlights include Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, the Liberty Bell and Carpenters’ Hall, where the Continental Congress met to discuss its grievances with England.

The afternoon features a visit to the National Liberty Museum that is dedicated to preserving America’s heritage of freedom by fostering good character, civic responsibility and respect for all people. The museum features over 125 works of art, including the famous 30-foot Flame of Liberty, 75 fascinating exhibits, 8 films, interactive displays, and much more.

If available, you will see the musical “We the People,” a rousing tribute to the spirit and energy that has defined America. Through song, dance and drama, the multi-talented cast takes you on an exciting journey through America’s history.

Next, you take a tour of Valley Forge. Meet a step-on guide to tour the 3,600-acre encampment site where General George Washington forged his Continental Army into a fighting force, during the difficult winter encampment of 1777-78.

Dinner tonight at the City Tavern offering a historic dining experience, complete with Colonial cuisine, costumed wait staff, and Colonial-era drinks and desserts.

Day 3 – After breakfast, depart for home.
