The Grand Majestic Dinner Theater Workshop and Performance:
Workshop: Students will experience and participate in an engaging and enjoyable, age appropriate workshop featuring a mixture of group activities: Workshop Booklet / Working in the World of Theater / Backstage Tour / Overcoming Stage Fright / Stage Makeup / Technical-Sound and Lighting / How to Create an Effective Resume / Creating Audition Reels
Performance: Audition in a professional setting for a singing and/or dancing role in evening performance of America’s Hit Parade, the group will be the pre-show entertainment in front of a live audience. Students will be given music tracks in advance and have the opportunity to select a particular song from a Variety of tracks spanning the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. With an “American Idol” setting the cast from America’s Hit parade will hold an audition and select one male and one female to be featured in the actual show of America’s Hit Parade that evening. Includes Box Lunch and Dinner
RainForest Adventure Zoo: 45 minute live presentation by Zookeeper. ” Before, During & After” programs are developed to help you prepare your students before their visit with suggested vocabulary words, the during component contains suggested activities while at RainForest and the After aspect of the program will help review all of the materials learned while at the RainForest!
Aquarium of the Smokies: The aquarium offers a varied selection of programs designed to meet the curriculum standards set forth by state and national educators in the areas of Science, Math, Social Studies and English. Special programs: Penguin Encounter – Learn more about African Penguins, also known as the Balckfooted Penguins from aquarium staff expert. Sleep With the Sharks – After a fun-filled night including a dive show, scavenger hunt, and late night activity, drift off to sleep while sharks keep a watchful eye on you.

Smoky Mountain Opry Theater: Backstage tour allows you to see the technical side of the stage production from lighting, sound and props to dressing rooms.
Christ in the Smokies Museum & Gardens: Meet with set designer for Question & Answer session on such as: How figures are made. How scenes are designed. How costumes are designed from historical records.
Country Tonite Theater: Besides providing a Performance Venue for Band, Choral and Dance group, the theater can provide a Question & Answer session with a performer or a Backstage Tour before or after the show. Also available are Workshops: Dance: Dance captain will teach your students the choreography to one of the songs in their show. Vocal: Seminar setting where each student will need to have part of a song prepared to sing. Vocal director will go over ways to keep your voice in shape. Audition: General information on what to bring to an audition, and dos and don’ts for an audition. Comedy: In this workshop they will go over how to present a comedy skit and the history of comedy.
Charting: Music director will teach the students how to chart music and read the chart system. Tech: The tech crew will go over the lighting, sound and monitoring boards, board setup or programing.
