Day 1: This tour package features two nights deluxe lodging in the Historic District.
Tonight your group has dinner at the celebrated The Pirate House, first opened as an inn for seafarers in 1753, it quickly became a rendezvous for blood-thirsty pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas. 200 years ago it was the kind of place where a group of girlfriends could find a few bad boys. ha. You can expect a nice dinner and then the evening is free to enjoy a stroll on River Street.
Day 2: Today begins with narrated sightseeing. Moss-draped, and molasses-sweet Savannah, like Charleston, New Orleans and other Southern port towns, it is forever linked to its past. No trip to Savannah is complete without a trip down world-famous River Street. Lined with shops, boutiques, bookstores and restaurants. At the end of the tour you have time to explore.
With this free afternoon your ladies might like a visit to the Gryphon Tea Room where tea is served in High Style in a turn-of-the-century pharmacy. (This is very near Forrest Gump’s bus stop bench in the movie). Lulu’s Chocolate Bar also makes a nice afternoon break, it’s a dessert restaurant with an array of specialty drinks and martinis.
Then, dinner tonight is at Paula Deen’s Restaurant ” Lady & Sons.” If you wish we can substitute a Riverboat Dinner Cruise or add an evening show at the Historic Savannah Theater.
Day 3: One last morning in the historic district gives you time for shopping before your departure.
